Valentine's Ska
I lied with my last review of Greg...THIS was the second show where I attended and walked in on his last song. One day, one day...
No other band plays as many loves songs as this band, so it is quite fitting to see Frankie Foo in the month of February. We were also treated to seeing Toby's brother on trumpet. I believe he use to be in the band, but long before I even saw the band for the first time. I think this was also the show that the crowd was rushing the stage a bit too much.
Toronto Ska Veterans
I think this was the show where One Night Band came down just for the one show, which is quite the trip and dedication to play a show. They made their trip well worth while. They draw quite well in Toronto, and deservingly so. I remember the first time I saw these guys after hearing them on Ska Party Radio (RIP, SKIP get on a show already).
Next up was The Clementones. They are made up of many former and current ska bands from Toronto (Cheap Suits, The Makeshift Heroes, King Apparatus, The Nightshift, The Heatskores, etc.). This was one of their first shows with a semi-firm line-up. It seemed every time I saw these guys they had a line-up change. You could really tell by the songs they played that their line-up was on to something good.
Last up was the Cheap Suits. Somewhat fresh from their show in December with Action League Now! they had a crowd stay just for them. I don't remember much else from their set.
