The Premiere of Sound One
Sound One is Toronto's newest ska band. Thank goodness they are ska authentic. It was time for Toronto to have more trad-ska bands. If you like talented instrumentals, this is the band for you. This band is only going to get better.
Frankie Foo!
Like always, a fun filled night. I wasn't the only one having fun if you check out the pictures of the dancefloor. Toby's brother even played a few songs with the band. He use to play regularly with the band (from what I gather). So it was nice to see him up there with the band again.
Frankie Foo Side Project
I have seen Frankie Foo over a dozen times now, and one thing I can say for certain about this show was that it was even more relaxed than their monthly gig. They just seemed to have a lot more fun. If you look at the pictures, they are smiling more. It seemed there wasn't as much pressure put upon them. It was quite an enjoyable night. The food was also great at this bar.
The Expos
The Expos are one of my favourite bands. This show happened far too long ago to remember the particulars. They probably played well, as they always do.
Ska/Punk in Brantford
Maple Street Impressions had been doing fairly well for themselves. Opening for The Misfits at the Phoenix and such, but this ended up being the last time I saw this band. They ended up breaking up 5 months later. They did the ska/punk thing fairly well. It just wasn't entirely my thing.
I have seen Corporation a few times now. They always play with a lot of energy. They still need to grow on me a bit more, but can see the talent that they possess.
