Chris Murray Returns Home..
2007-09-27, Smiling Buddha Bar - Toronto, ON

First off, I'd like to give a huge thanks to DJ Skip, who without his generousity, I wouldn't have been able to attend this show. Thanks for picking me up in Barrie!

I only caught two songs of The Lunateers, but they rocked as always.

Next up was the up and coming band, The Clementones. A ska supergroup that decided to do more soul. Covering classics such as Old Rocking Chair by Jackie Opel, you can't go wrong.

One Night Band never disappoints, and they didn't on this night. I will miss their horn section dearly.

Chris Murray is extraordinarily talented. It is something you have to witness with your own ears. Having him backed by a band was nice to hear that fuller sound. I'd love to check out Chris Murray Combo in California some time.

Skaface

Skaface
2007-09-22, Sneaky Dee's - Toronto, ON

King Kong Girio rarely plays shows, so to be able to see him twice this month was a treat.

Skaface also doesn't play frequently, so it was nice to see these guys again. If only more people would come out to enjoy their music.

Bomb the Music Industry!

Bomb the Music Industry!
2007-09-22, Adrift Skateshop - Toronto, ON

This show wouldn't have even happened without the promoter, Jessica, or the generousity of The Good Times with supplying the PA.

Bomb the Music Industry didn't disappoint. I find they strive in a smaller venue setting such as this. As you can tell by the pictures, the crowd loved them.

Vic Ruggiero

2007-09-01, Smiling Buddha Bar - Toronto, ON

Was absolutely pissed the crowd wouldn't stop talking through King Kong Girio's set. Took it like a champ though, and didn't disappoint.

The Heatskores without a drummer was a sight to see. A completely different feel, but one I was a fan of. It is always interesting to see a band do a different take on their songs. I was quite impressed.

Vic Ruggiero solo is a great show. If you ever get the chance, I recommend checking him out. Front man of one of the biggest ska bands out there, you know he puts on a good show.
